athGADLANG is looking for an Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant for our reputable client.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant who will be able to work in the Pacific time zone. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a solid understanding of accounts payable processes. This role is crucial in ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and financial records, while also maintaining effective communication with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, verify, and process invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures. Ensure all invoices are properly coded and authorized before payment.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers, checks, and other forms of payment. Ensure timely payments to vendors and maintain accurate records of transactions.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors. Address inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and provide timely responses to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and statements. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise during the reconciliation process.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes, including the preparation of accounts payable reports, accruals, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations. Maintain accurate and organized records for audit purposes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in the accounts payable function and collaborate with the team to implement best practices.
  • Effectively communicate with internal departments to resolve any issues related to accounts payable, ensuring smooth operations and accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3 to 4 years of Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Must be available to work in the Pacific time zone consistently.
