Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and motivated Bank Reconciliation Specialist. The ideal candidate will work during the Pacific time zone and will be responsible for accurately reconciling bank accounts, and ensuring that all financial transactions are reflected correctly in our records. This role requires excellent communication skills, as the candidate will collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and internal financial records in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury, to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Communicate effectively with banks and financial institutions to resolve issues and obtain necessary information.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reconciliation reports and documentation for audit purposes.
- Assist in the month-end closing process, ensuring all bank transactions are accurately recorded.
- Continuously monitor and improve reconciliation processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in special projects and financial analysis as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 to 4 years of experience in bank reconciliation, accounting, or a similar financial role.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools is preferable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Must be available to work in the Pacific time zone consistently.
