AG Resources is looking for Senior Infrastructure Engineer for one of our reputable clients in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Key Accountabilities
General Responsibilities
Assist in implementation of IT Infrastructure & Technical Support policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of assigned department activity Assist in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Ensure that all reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet requirements, policies, and quality standards.
Job Specific Responsibilities will include
Develop reports pertaining to the overall performance of infrastructure server resources to ensure that all business units receive appropriate and timely support.
Monitor on-prem and cloud infrastructure services proactively/reactively and take actions.
Monitor server availability, capacity, and sustainability for organization to ensure smooth running of business operations and report system health checks regularly.
Manage on-premises infrastructure hosted in Nutanix and VMware clusters.
Manage infrastructure components and resources in Azure Cloud.
Handle the installation and maintenance of the workplace physical and virtual servers, infrastructure applications for all systems, replacement of old servers, and all related operating systems to ensure they are all operating effectively to achieve ADX’s objectives.
Gather and analyse user requirements to identify, predict, interpret, and determine future system capacity and sizing requirements.
Ensure that an up-to-date enterprise inventory of the organization’s IT infrastructure components is maintained and regularly updated.
Manage and maintain infrastructure system operation workload of (Domains, AD, Email, DNS, etc…) and maintain user management across the organization on premise and Cloud including (Office 365, Exchange, Sharepoint, oneDrive, MS Teams, etc.)
Security patch management and vulnerability management
Coordinates and works on multiple cross-functional base work initiatives and projects.
Oversee the backup and restoration operations of system, applications, and data repositories.
Manage infrastructure applications and operating systems licensing system (KMS) and keep track of license inventories and renewals.
Manage enterprise level repair troubleshooting with servers, storage, and user systems.
Prepare recommendations for current product updates, new products and standards and implement appropriate solutions in consultation with the IT Infrastructure.
Provide the necessary support for assigned business units of the IT infrastructure service.
Ensure that reliable operating system environments are provided such that organization’s applications are able to meet the required service levels.
Produce systems related reports and statistics in an accurate and timely manner as requested by line manager.
Provide 2nd level of support of assigned infrastructure issues with alignment of IT SLA.
Work closely with IS and audit to ensure all infrastructure controls are set as per organization policies and procedure.
Participate with BCMS team to meet the business continuity program objectives and conduct related DR test.
Maintain relationship with selected suppliers and subcontractors for systems and hardware delivery and maintenance and provide expertise on supplier support contracts and their required service levels.

Communicate daily with the Department Head and the managers to receive work direction, and to discuss and resolve issues Communicate frequently with IT system integrators and vendors to source, review and obtain clarification upon network and security related matters
Communicate daily with staff in technical support function to ensure work co-ordination Communicate frequently with external IT auditors to coordinate actions related to Audit Findings
Communicate regularly with staff within Systems and Applications to resolve related issues Communicate frequently with brokers, investors, custodians, and Listed Companies to provide network support services
Communicate regularly with all staff on providing support related to communication services Communicate frequently with the service provider (Etisalat) to coordinate network communication services requirements
Communicate frequently with internal auditors to coordinate actions related to Audit Findings
Communicate regularly with IT Security staff for all IT security related matters
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or any related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Information Technology with a focus on IT Infrastructure.
Experience with incident ticketing systems, workstation management systems and desktop imaging. Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, office 365 workloads.
Excellent knowledge of Nutanix / VMware setups and configurations.
Azure / AWS Cloud certified.
Good knowledge of security as it relates to cloud-based infrastructure.
Experience using automated monitoring tools.
Ability to identify incident trends to elevate incidents in accordance with standard protocols.
Good attention to detail, testing and documentation.
Knowledge of ITIL and industry best practices
Strong virtualization experience using Hyper conversed environment and Virtualization.
Proven ability to work in a cloud based or hosting environment.
Experience working with Backup solutions and NetApp storage.
Proven track record with hosted desktop and published applications
Ability to maintain good working relationships with third party service providers and vendors.
