aG Resources is looking for a Senior Manager-Cost Planning from the Real Estate and Construction Industry for our reputable client.

Contract: 6 Months Extendable

***We are looking for candidates with Transferable Iqama and are immediate joiners who are available in UAE, KSA & PAK.

Job Objective:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cost Control Manager who can manage all costs and commercial administration activities. Interface with Finance, Legal, other QDC Managers, and Executive Management to advise, present, and report the status of the program’s cost, commercial, and contract well-being. Ensures that all project expenditures and commitments are captured properly recorded and reported.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Control, monitor, and manage QDC’s overall budget, expenditures, commitments, and forecasts.
  • Define project needs for cost control and supervise the performance of QDC’s cost management and control KPIs.
  • Manage cost recording, monitoring, and reporting practices for compliance with applicable standards.
  • Supervises investigating requirements for estimating and/or cost control data. Identifies needs for cost analysis support for the project and recommends the development of modification of cost engineering data standards.
  • Coordinate and establish requirements for the overall cost estimate and coordinate the timely, systematic, and complete acquisition of scope definition and related data.
  • Manage the timely and competent performance of cost estimates. Prepares and analyzes comparisons of scope, quantities, and cost data between projects.
  • Make recommendations for revised contract strategy and contract phasing to mitigate commercial risks.
  • Develop tender evaluation criteria to include alternative tenders and applicable procedures.
  • Evaluate, interpret, and advise all commercial aspects of construction and design contracts.
  • Develop and implement change control procedures in line with contract intent.
  • Manage the achievement of the team’s objectives through effective leadership by setting individual objectives, managing performance, and developing the team to maximize performance.
  • Provide overall direction and guidance to mentor, coach, motivate, and challenge teams providing opportunities for growth and development within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Commercial Management (required).
  • Chartered Quantity Surveyor (QS) certification by a recognized international body (e.g., CIOB, RICS) (highly preferred).
  • 9-12 years of proven experience in cost control and commercial management within a complex project environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., cost estimating software, project management tools)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate teams, providing effective leadership and fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Demonstrated understanding of construction and design contract principles and practices.
