Position Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced External Auditor with a strong background in Assurance and Fixed Assets Management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing expert advice on fixed assets management. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit Planning and Execution:
Plan and execute comprehensive audit engagements for clients in various industries.
Develop audit strategies and procedures to assess financial statements and ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Perform risk assessments to identify areas of potential concern and design audit tests to address these risks.
Assurance Services:
Provide assurance services to clients, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements. Review and evaluate internal controls, making recommendations for improvements where necessary. Assess compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Fixed Assets Management:
Performing detailed audits of clients’ fixed assets to ensure proper classification, valuation, and recording. Verifying the existence and condition of fixed assets, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting with the knowledge of tagging.
Advise clients on best practices for fixed assets management, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposal processes.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare detailed audit reports, outlining findings, conclusions, and recommendations for clients.
Document audit procedures and working papers in accordance with professional standards and firm policies. Present audit findings to senior management and clients, providing clear and concise explanations of issues and suggested corrective actions.
Client Interaction and Advisory:
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on financial and operational matters. Provide expert guidance on complex accounting issues, regulatory changes, and industry-specific challenges.
Assist clients in implementing recommendations and improving their financial processes and controls.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with developments in accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Participate in professional development activities, including training sessions and seminars, to enhance auditing skills and knowledge.
Contribute to the development and improvement of the firm’s audit methodologies and tools.
Qualifications and Skills:
● Qualified CA/ ACCA qualified with 7-12 years probably with the industry experience ● Big 4 experience is essential and SAP FAM/Oracle can be a plus.
● O-Levels and A-Levels Background.
● Must have worked extensively on Fixed Asset assignments in the auditing sector.
● Exceptional English communication and report writing skills
● Advanced analytical skills and expert in Excel spreadsheets
● Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines as required
● Ability to adapt to continually changing environment
● Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in making recommendations and decisions
