athGADLANG is looking for a Property Accountant (Yardi Software Expert) to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with property management accounting, particularly using Yardy software. This position requires someone who is available to work in the Pacific time zone and possesses excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for properties within the portfolio.
Accounts Payable/Receivable:
- Manage and process invoices, payments, and collections, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into Yardy.
General Ledger Maintenance:
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in the general ledger.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing analysis of variances between actuals and budgeted figures.
Reconciliation:
- Perform bank and account reconciliations, promptly resolving all discrepancies.
Tenant Billing & Rent Roll:
- Prepare tenant billings and manage the rent roll, ensuring that all tenant-related financial matters are accurately handled.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
Audit Support:
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
Communication:
- Collaborate with property managers, tenants, and other stakeholders to provide clear and concise financial information and address any inquiries.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements to existing accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in property accounting, with a strong emphasis on using Yardy software.
- Proficient in Yardy, Excel, and other accounting software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Must be available to work in the Pacific time zone consistently.
