athGADLANG is looking for a Senior Tax Manager for our reputable client.

Position Overview:

The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing the tax function across the holding company and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with Saudi tax laws and regulations. This role involves managing tax planning, compliance, and reporting at both the holding company and subsidiary levels, while maintaining strong relationships with the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA). The ideal candidate will be an Arabic speaker with deep knowledge of Saudi tax law and experience coordinating tax activities across multiple entities.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with Saudi tax laws across the holding company and all subsidiaries, including Zakat, VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax, and any other applicable taxes.
  • Collaborate with finance teams at the subsidiary level to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting, and that all entities adhere to group tax policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies that align with the organization’s financial goals while minimizing tax liabilities across the group.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with ZATCA, handling inquiries, audits, and correspondence for both the holding company and subsidiaries efficiently and effectively.
  • Oversee the preparation and timely submission of all tax returns and reports for the holding company and its subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide tax advisory services to the business, ensuring that all operations and transactions comply with Saudi tax laws across all entities.
  • Manage tax audits and assessments for the entire group, working closely with ZATCA to resolve any issues or disputes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the tax function across the holding company and subsidiaries.
  • Work closely with finance, legal, and operations teams across the group to ensure tax compliance and effective tax management.
  • Keep abreast of changes in Saudi tax law and regulations, ensuring the entire group remains compliant and informed of new tax developments.
  • Mentor and develop the teams at both the holding company and subsidiary levels, ensuring that they are well-versed in Saudi tax laws and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional tax certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax management, with a strong focus on Saudi tax laws and regulations, and experience managing tax functions across multiple entities. Experience in PPP, infrastructure, multinational corporations (MNCs), and Big 4 firms is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Saudi tax law, including Zakat, VAT, corporate tax, and withholding tax. Familiarity with tax software and ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in managing tax operations and reporting for a group or holding company, including coordination with multiple subsidiaries.
  • Demonstrated experience working with ZATCA, with a proven track record of maintaining good relationships and successfully managing tax audits and inquiries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and provide clear guidance to the business.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting, policy setting, and compliance activities.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment, without requiring detailed guidance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with subsidiary finance teams and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Arabic is required, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
